Konrad is an Australian qualified barrister and solicitor and partner
of LWA. He qualified in Perth, Western Australia with Minter Ellison in 1997
and after practicing as a corporate/commercial lawyer in Perth for several years,
moved to Hong Kong to join Simmons & Simmons’ Corporate Department
and then to Vietnam to join LWA.
Konrad has a broad corporate/commercial background, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, listings, due diligence, corporate governance and general commercial matters.
He has also been recognised as a leading individual in Vietnam for employment related dispute resolution by Asia Pacific Legal 500 and regularly advises clients on employment related matters.
Konrad has extensive regional experience having been involved in numerous high profile mergers & acquisitions in Australia, Hong Kong and Vietnam and some of his recent work has included:
(i) Advising a multinational company in the food and beverage industry on the Vietnamese aspects of a global cross border M&A transaction with a total value of over US$1 billion, together with conducting relevant due diligence;
(ii) Conducting a seller’s due diligence for and advising an asset management company on various aspects of a proposed sale of property assets of a Korean “chaebol” in Vietnam, valued in excess of US$50m; and
(iii) Advising a Singaporean property conglomerate on various aspects of a proposed Vietnamese property development including a hotel, office complex and apartments for sale and lease.
